“We popped here to browse for Xmas presents. It was busy but pleasent. Well worth a visit at all times during the year. Good coffee shop too”

“You need at least four hours to have a good look around. Plenty of original and handmade items in Simply Salvaged. Bought all my Christmas pressies there. Love the enormous kitchen shop on the first floor. Beautiful selection of Christmas decorations.
Two dress shops, both worth a look around. Coffee shop is great, lovely staff, great food, gets busy at lunch. Open every day. A fabulous day out.”
Susan D, Tripadvisor

“Different place to shop with a variety of small shops to browse, some of which have quality items as opposed to the run of the mill outlets found in most towns. Also lovely cafe which serves good food at reasonable prices . Worth a visit.”

I love this quaint shopping village! Such lovely shops and all the staff are friendly. The staff in the tea shop and Abraxas always seem to remember me! Surely I’m not there that often… Just maybe every chance I get? I also always pop in for takeaway food from Darlingtons for long car journeys.
