A new team took over Darlingtons a little while back and called the Tea Room The 1867. It took a while to establish the new restaurant name, but it was decided to really celebrate the beautiful buildings that are here at the Heart of the Shires Shopping Village.
In 2026 after The 1867 was put on sale, the owners of the Heart of the Shires site, bought the restaurant for a mutually agreed sum. From which, The Tea Room was born. The Tea Room return to the look and feel of the very popular Darlington’s.
