2025 marks the 80th anniversary of VE Day. The end of the war in Europe. Here at Heart of the Shires, we celebrated and commemorated this special time.
A very special FREE event, on the May Bank Holiday weekend. Sunday 4th May.
Heart of the Shires was decked out in red, white and blue as we transformed our site back to 1945.
There was live 1940’s singing performances, pre 1945 vintage and classic cars in the courtyard and so much more.
The event was in support of the Royal British Legion.
“Brilliant!! We enjoyed it!!”
Lesley Littlejohn
“Fantastic day, thank you for hosting us!”

“I would be grateful if you could please pass on my thanks to all those who helped make the extremely well organised VE Day such a great event. Clearly a lot of hard work went into organising the day and it was a huge success. It was well publicised, resulting in a good footfall, even if people didn’t spend on the day they now know we are all there. The pop up cafe was brilliant.
Thanks again.”
