The restaurant was formerly The 1867 (for 3 and a half years) and before that Darlington’s tea room and café (17 years).
The Tea Room (in the farmhouse) and The Tea Room Too (in the newly extended area) offers super food and the much needed extra capacity.
More space, more choice, more reasons to visit Heart of the Shires. This move, following an agreed private business sale of The 1867, between local Estate Agent Paul Campbell and the owners of Heart of the Shires. The change has been welcomed so positively by both our tenants and visitors.
